Battle Creek is a city in Calhoun County, West Central Michigan, with a population of 51,000 (2019). It is well known for its breakfast cereal industry (Kellogg's and Post both started here) and the Battle Creek Sanitarium which was a high-end health spa started by W.K. Kellogg that was very popular with well-to-dos of the time. It is also known as the home of Sojurner Truth, famous for her work for women's rights and African American freedoms.
Battle Creek is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan, in northwest Calhoun County, at the confluence of the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek rivers. It is the principal city of the Battle Creek, Michigan Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which encompasses all of Calhoun County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 52,347, while the MSA's population was 136,146. It is best known as the home of the Kellogg Company and the founding city of Post Consumer Brands cereal.
