Blackall is an Australian village of about 1,200 people in Central West Queensland, about 960 km from Brisbane. The city lays claim to the origin of the Australian expression "beyond the black stump", referring to remote or uncivilised parts of the country.
Blackall is a rural town and locality in the Blackall-Tambo Region, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, the locality of Blackall had a population of 1,416 people. The town is the service center for the Blackall-Tambo Region. The dominant industry in the area is grazing. Yalleroi is another town in the north of the locality (Yalleroi -town centre-).
