Welcome to Coolah!

Coolah is a town in the Central West New South Wales, a state in Australia.

Warrumbungle Shire Council is located within the foothills of the Warrumbungle and Coolah Tops mountain ranges, halfway between the regional cities of Dubbo and Tamworth. The Shire has a population of 11,000 and provides schooling to Year 12, excellent medical and sporting facilities and many community organisations. With a focus on tourism, the area boasts a wide range of attractions including the internationally acclaimed Siding Spring Observatory, Coolah Tops National Park, State Forests and great accommodation and lifestyle.

Coolah is a town in the central western part of New South Wales, Australia in Warrumbungle Shire. At the 2016 census, Coolah had a population of 1,290. The name Coolah is derived from the Port Jackson Pidgin English word meaning "angry".
