Comilla is a district town under Chittagong division situated at south eastern part of Bangladesh.It is a small district town beside Dhaka Chittagong highway.Comilla city stands on the River Gumti.
Comilla (Bengali: কুমিল্লা, Kumillā), officially spelled Cumilla since April 2018, is a city in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh, located along the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. It is the administrative center of the Comilla District, part of the Chittagong Division. The name Comilla was derived from Komolangko (কমলাঙ্ক), meaning the pond of lotus.
