Welcome to Elliot Lake!
Elliot Lake is a city of about 10,700 people (2016) in northern Ontario. The former mining boomtown has attempted to market itself (and its stock of inexpensive vacant housing) to retirees and visitors with mixed results.
Elliot Lake is a city in Algoma District, Ontario, Canada. It is north of Lake Huron, midway between the cities of Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie in the Northern Ontario region. Once dubbed the "uranium capital of the world," Elliot Lake has since diversified into a hub for forest harvesting, mine reclamation expertise, exporting glass awards, and telescoping equipment for mining. Elliot Lake is now known as a place for affordable retirement living, waterfront cottage lots, and a four-season destination.
