Kaluga Oblast is a region in Central Russia, which borders Bryansk Oblast to the southwest, Smolensk Oblast to the northwest, Moscow Oblast to the northeast, Tula Oblast to the east, and Oryol Oblast to the southeast.
Kaluga Oblast (Russian: Калу́жская о́бласть, Kaluzhskaya oblast) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Kaluga. The 2010 Russian Census found a population of 1,010,930.
