Lipetsk Oblast is a region in Russia's Chernozemye region, bordering Kursk Oblast to the southwest, Oryol Oblast to the west, Tula Oblast to the northwest, Ryazan Oblast to the northeast, Tambov Oblast to the east, and Voronezh Oblast to the south.
Lipetsk Oblast (Russian: Липецкая область, Lipetskaya oblast) is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its administrative center is the city of Lipetsk. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 1,173,513.
