Okhotsk (Russian: Ох'отск, o-HO-tsk) is a village in the Russian Far East centered around silver mining and fishing. The village has a population of approximately 4,500 people. It was the first settlement in the Russian Far East.
Okhotsk (Russian: Охотск) is an urban locality (a work settlement) and the administrative center of Okhotsky District of Khabarovsk Krai, Russia, located at the mouth of the Okhota River on the Sea of Okhotsk. Population: 4,215 (2010 Census), 5,738 (2002 Census), 9,298 (1989 Census). It lies at similar latitudes to Southern Scandinavia and the Far North of Scotland.
