Patong Beach (หาดป่าตอง, Hat Patong) is the largest beach resort on the island of Phuket. Patong is the party capital of Asia, with famous nightlife and a great beach. This article also includes Kalim, a series of small beaches just north of Patong.
Patong Beach (Thai: ป่าตอง, Pa Tong) refers to the beach and town on Phuket's west coast. It is the main tourist resort on the island of Phuket and is the center of Phuket's nightlife and shopping. The beach became popular with Western tourists, especially Europeans, in the late-1980s. It has numerous hotels and the area has expanded into a tourist place.
